BS Physics
Objectives
The 4 years undergraduate degree (BS) in Physics with its research and teaching focus shall provide students with:- A comprehensive, high-quality, and up-to-date education in the physical sciences
- The essential knowledge and analytical, mathematical, and computational tools to pursue post-graduate education in a variety of physics-related and other fields
- Increased awareness of the physical processes in the surrounding world
- The motivation for a lifelong love of learning
- The opportunity to experience the excitement of scientific discovery through direct participation in faculty research
- The foundation and practical skillset for eventual success in any of a broad spectrum of careers

- Intermediate or equivalent level
- Physics as an elective subject
MS Physics
Objectives
Department of Physics aims to enhance the level of understanding of the enrolled students and to provide them with the relevant experience and the opportunity to carry out focused research in the discipline under close supervision. The program is targeted to train students to acquire excellence in theoretical as well as applied physics. The program has been carefully designed to meet the following objectives- To provide students with a general understanding of techniques and comprehensive knowledge of the literature applicable to their field of research.
- To train students so that they can solve problems competently and confidently.
- To prepare the graduating scholars for the individual as well as group research work and guide them to demonstrate originality in problem-solving so that they can pursue a doctorate in their field of specialization.
Eligibility Criteria :
- At least sixteen years of education or equivalent qualification in Physics or 4 years education (at least 130 credit hour) after Intermediate or Equivalent for admission in M. Phil. Physics degree program.
- At least 50% marks in the annual examination system or 2.50/4.00 CGPA in semester
- system or 65% marks in semester system where CGP A is not mentioned in terminal degree.
- In case CGPA or percentage (%) obtained by the candidate is not mentioned on the
- If both CGPA and percentage (%) of marks are mentioned on the transcript, the preference shall be given to the CGPA.
- A minimum 50% score is required to qualify the Departmental subject wise test.
- Valid GAT-General conducted by the National Testing Service with the minimum 50%
