“Office of the External Linkages and Women Development Centre, Rawalpindi Women University (RWU) conducted a seminar on “Protection of Women Rights in the Legal System of Pakistan ” at Webinar Room, RWU, on December 7, 2022. One of the modules of the seminar was in connection to the “16 Days of Activism on Gender Based Violence” being observed globally by the United Nations. Dr. Nadia Khadam, was the key speaker who after getting practical advocacy experience also earned a PhD in Criminal Law, Policy and Procedure. Other modules covered during the seminar were protection of women’s property rights, Harassment at work place/public places, prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, Letter of Administration & Succession Certificates, Criminal Law amendments, Anti Rape Laws, Zainab Alert Response Recovery Act and other recent updated laws were discussed during the session. Question and Answer sessions also took place in the end”.
