BS Botany
Objectives
- To enable students to identify different plants species and their taxonomic positions and enabling the students to have know how about economic importance of plants and their different industrial uses
- To aware students about the utilization of plant based natural products and to aware the students about the impact of invasive species on plant biodiversity and sustainable conservation
- To impart knowledge about the nutritional requirements of the plant at different stages along with the deficiency symptoms
- To enable students for the research problems, identification and subsequent experimental design toward valid solutions.
Eligibility Criteria :
BS 1st Semester 30% weightage of obtained marks in Matriculation or Equivalent. 70% weightage of obtained marks in Intermediate or Equivalent. Admission shall be made as per RWU admission policy. As per approved Admission Policy RWU notified vide Notification No. RWU/VC/01/341; dated: 10th Mar, 2023. BS 5th Semester Twenty percent (20%) weightage of obtained marks in Matriculation or equivalent. Twenty percent (20%) weightage of obtained marks in Intermediate or equivalent. Sixty percent (60%) weightage of obtained marks in ADP/BA/BSc or equivalent. Admission shall be made as per RWU admission policy. As per approved Admission Policy RWU notified vide Notification No. RWU/VC/01/341; dated: 10th Mar, 2023.MPhil Botany
Objectives
- To achieve excellence by providing high-quality basic science materials and developing qualified researchers and professionals who can meet many challenges of existing marketing needs.
- To introduce contemporary areas of study for the young women of Pakistan, and to improve the effectiveness of our quality management system through human resource development and active participation of professors and students in the department.
- To enable students to be acquainted with the latest knowledge of plant sciences through the M.Phil. program, which includes core courses such as Advances in Plant Taxonomy, Applied Ethno botany and Conservation, Molecular Biology techniques, and Research Methodology.
Eligibility Criteria :
At least sixteen years of education or equivalent qualification in the relevant subject or 4 years education after Intermediate or Equivalent from a recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 2.0/4.0 (Semester System) or minimum 50% marks in the annual examination system or 55% marks in Semester system where CGPA is not mentioned. NTS/GAT test with 50% score or university admission test with a minimum of 50% score is required to qualify the Departmental subject wise test.Â
